TAKE A BREAK - DAMIEN HIRST @ TATE MODERN

A few impressions from Damien Hirst show at Tate, despite the quick running through together with MeiMei.

Exhaustive utilisation of each idea vessel. Dead carcass, butterfly, medicine & medical related, dots, cigarettes... He uses variety of forms of each item to explore his ideas. Interesting words. He constructed very simple sentences with very interesting layers of signifiers. Such as, of course, "The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone living". Very original presentation. The presentation of the cigarette buds, the medicine for example. And the amazing flying butterfly around one of the rooms...

I wish I could spend some good time to be there again to have some proper engagement and read some of the background of his works.
