PROFESSIONAL FUTURE ...

So far we have had quite a few lectures from a several professionals, including Gwen Thomas from AOP on copy right, Simona Deli'Agil from Artquest, and David Blackmore. While they gave us the practical knowledge for post-photography, I do not like house keeping survival kit, conceptual seems more interesting, which is missing in this term...

PROFESSIONAL FUTURES - EXHIBITION

Another discuss with Heather. There are two points need to be explored. Concept, Content, and Context dimensions in organising, planning and curating exhibitions. Physical works, Space, and people to be considered. We were contemplating our potential curation for the coming FRPhotographics. There is two extremes one is the chance element of deliberate no curation curation, the other one is theme based. Probably we need a mix to achieve our aim.

PROFESSIONAL FUTURES - PORTFOLIO / DAVID BLACKMORE

From 'Disposal' series by David Blackmore

David Blackmore came and gave us a lecture. He showed how his career developed in the last 7 years as an artist, lecturer and photographer. His work is inspiring, like his conceptual approach especially. He also showed us some physical portfolio examples. There will be a lot of work to be done to have an outstanding presentation of portfolio.

PROFESSIONAL FUTURES - PORTFOLIO

Shirley organised a workshop and discussion on on-line portfolio presentation. She presented us quite a few sample artists websites and many of us presented our current own websites. I didn't know that Ulrike took the portraiture of Ai Weiwei at Tate until Shirley showed her website!

FREE RANGE PHOTOGRAPHICS - FIRST DISCUSSION

Sarah D, Andrew, Alan and I had the first discussion on public exhibition this spring/summer. We brainstormed many ideas to organise public informal exhibition. We have also listed up all the house keeping issues. Seemed there will be lots of things to do in the coming months.

PROFESSIONAL FUTURES - EXHIBITION

Heather gave us a workshop and discussion on exhibiting photography. Interestingly to know that some alumni organised a public exhibition at Tate. She printed her body on a apron and wore it beneath her coat. She opened her coat to show the apron for more than 10 minutes in the turban hall. Then she went upstairs and tried to show her work and performance at the show of Nude/Action/Body before security arrived.

PROFESSIONAL FUTURES - PORTFOLIO

Andrei Pinkowski (http://www.pinkowski.co.uk/) gave us an introduction on Portfolio. A systematic work flow, points and attention we should be aware. I wasn't interested in the house keeping like presentation of portfolio in the first place, but at the end of the session I found it inspiring. Not only the works count, but also, of course, the presentation matters!
