SUMMER TIME - LOOK AROUND 3

from White Chapel Show ("American Night' Installation Shot)

from New Europe

from Empty Heaven

from Troubled Land

I was asked not to use opinionated rhetoric to write at the degree level but I just can’t help! The Paul Graham exhibition in White Chapel is amazing. His approach in photojournalism is pushing the tradition. Rather than ‘as near as possible to the news’, he distanced himself; rather than catching an eye catching dramatic scene, he use mundane context to depicts the subtlety but with a drama folding away. His employment of light is audacious, his edit and presentation on wall and pages is refreshing, and of course the issues he is expressing are critical, ambiguous and rich in cultural, social and political level. I like every single project he showed in the gallery, such an amazing show!

SUMMER TIME - LOOK AROUND 1

Dog Barking at the Moon, by Joan Miro

I went to see Miro and Tate Modern’s permanent exhibition. There are quite a few new collections in Tate Modern’s permanent show rooms.
